Unfortunately, they're standing somewhat close to a lower ledge making them awkward to get behind, and you have to do all this while avoiding throws from both enemies. Since the one up against the wall is impossible to deal with other than shooting with the bow in the millisecond before they throw their attack, you have to deal with the one on the left first. There is an area with 2 shield enemies, one of whom has their back up against the wall. I never would've actually noticed it if I hadn't been searching every single room for anything to pick up. It's almost indistinguishable as an actual item. I started a new game and found the healing item, and my god it blends completely in with the background. You can roll past them, but they often turn instantly to face you, making the roll pointless and leaving yourself open to the other nearby enemies. Also, yes, you missed the healing item at the very beginning apparently. Originally posted by rdein:You can also roll past the shield enemies and hit them from their back. I had to quit out of frustration on normal difficulty. When there are 2 shield enemies on one tiny platform, rolling just launches you off the platform or into the other enemy.Īlso, the only way to heal I could find was hitting the bells, which are way too far apart in the beginning of the game. The game starts off by severely punishing you for even tiny errors by spawning multiple high-damage enemies that are extremely difficult to hit due to positioning and many of them carrying shields and only being vulnerable from the front for 0.1 seconds every 3 seconds. There's virtually no difficulty ramp-up period.

I used all of these things, the first 30 minutes of the game is incredibly unforgiving. I'm very sorry you are not having a good time. Don't forget the dodge mechanic gives you invincibility. Please be more patient and learn to use the toolset the game gives you (arrows, dodge, healing items). Easy mode is the only way this game is tolerable. Being nearly two shotted by regular enemies when you have to go through dozens of them to get to checkpoints is not fun. Originally posted by SHODANFreeman:Normal mode is absurdly hard.
